Away from the hustel and bustle of cities and everyday life there is a place apart called West Cork. Unspoiled and still undiscovered by the masses, this spectaculr part of South West Ireland offers an unrivalled choice of places to visit and things to do. From the pretty fishing town of Kinsale to the breathtaking Mizen Peninsula you can experience dramatic coastline, islands, rolling hills, rivers, lakes and numerous small colourful villages each with their own distinctive flavour and charm. West Cork has a reputation for its fresh fish, seafood, herbs, honey and local cheeses to name just a few products. The flavour of the region has to be sampled to be appreciated. With walks, nature trails, cycling, angling, sea and river fishing, whale watching, diving, golf and plenty of visitor attractions. There is as much or as little to do as your want.
The Hideaway is a family run park in a rural setting which is just a 10 minute walk to the town of Skibbereen by pavement with street lighting. Skibereen is a market town which is situated on the banks of the Ilen River that flows into Baltimore Harbour. The town has many attractions including the Heritage Centre, Tourist Office, Arts Centre, Pubs, Restaurants, Supermarkets, etc. Glandore, Union Hall, Castletownshen, Lough Ine, Schull and Baltimore with its ferries to the Islands of Cape Clear and Sherkin are all within a 20 minute drive.

The Park caters for caravans and motorhomes, all with hardstandings and a seperate area for tents. A designated area is provided for ball games. For dog walking there is a nice path along by a stream. Cycling, skateboards, scooters, etc. are not allowed.
