Away from the hustel and bustle of cities and everyday life there is a place apart called West Cork. The Hideaway is a family run park in a rural setting which is just a 10 minute walk to the town of Skibbereen by pavement with street lighting. Skibereen is a market town which is situated on the banks of the Ilen River that flows into Baltimore Harbour. The town has many attractions including the Heritage Centre, Tourist Office, Arts Centre, Pubs, Restaurants, Supermarkets, etc. Glandore, Union Hall, Castletownshen, Lough Ine, Schull and Baltimore with its ferries to the Islands of Cape Clear and Sherkin are all within a 20 minute drive.
The Park caters for caravans and motorhomes, all with hardstandings and a seperate area for tents. A designated area is provided for ball games. For dog walking there is a nice path along by a stream. Cycling, skateboards, scooters, etc. are not allowed.
