Strandhill Caravan Park is situated under the mountain of Knocknarea overlooking the award winning beach of Strandhill, Mecca for surfers from all around the world, while the flat sands of Culleenamore, more suitable for family fun is just under 2km away.  With its prime location it is only a 5 minute walk from the beach promenade which offers a fine selection of restaurants, pubs, seaweed baths, newsagents and take-aways.  The park is family friendly as there is a new playground located to the back of the park.  Strandhill is the place for walkers with miles of sandy beach and dunes waiting to be explored.  It is also an ideal place for surfing (young or old!) with a number of surf schools adjacent to the park. We are also situated within cycle distance (5km) to the historic Megalithic Tombs of Carrowmore and walking distance (500m) of the golf club, while horesriding is available at 5km away.  Sligo town is a mere 8km from the site.

The park itself has an abundance of amenities; ranging from a new extensive campers kitchen, to a games room, library, TV room and Laundry room complete with washing machines, dryers and ironing facilities.  Along with showers and toilets we have a new special needs ensuite.  Also there is a surfer's outdoor shower point.  Internet access is available at reception.  For Caravans & Motorhomes we have a chemical disposal unit and a Motorhome Service point.
