One of the best coastal drives in the world, the Causeway Coastal Route stretches from Belfast to Derry/Londonderry and brings you past breathtaking scenery and unforgettable experiences.  Along the way you can walk the Gobbins Cliff Path, clinging to the rugged edges of the County Antrim coast, cross the exhilarating Carrick-a-Rede rope bridge that links the mainland with tiny, craggy Carrick Island, or visit the working lighthouse and newly refurbished RSPB seabird centre on the beautiful Rathlin Island.


A must see is the Giant’s Causeway, a UNESCO World Heritage site consisting of 40,000 hexagonal basalt columns tumbling into the ocean. Take time to explore the Orchard County, the historic Armagh city, ancient sites nearby and the natural beauty of the Ring of Gullion.  Well worth a visit is St. Patrick’s Cathedral.  Take a guided or self-guided tour and view its design, stained glass windows, mosaics and shimmering gold leaf sculptures.



For a county without a coastline it may be surprising to learn that Fermanagh is a water lover’s paradise.  Fermanagh has an amazing abundance of lakes, rivers, inlets and waterways. Either island-hop via kayak or canoe, take a tranquil cruise, cycle waterside or trek the mountains.  Pitch your tent or hook-up your caravan for a couple of days and enjoy the peace and tranquility in this unique place.


From the Sperrin Mountains to Gortin Glen, County Tyrone’s great natural spaces make it a superb outdoor playground for young and old alike.
