  • Superb facilities and great location – Just had a wonderful weekend with the Irish Hymer group of motorhomes at Mannix Point and can’t rate this campsite too highly. It has a lovely relaxed feel about the place, whilst providing first class facilities including laundry, a huge campers kitchen/dining room and a cosy lounge. The pitches are set out at varying angles, within close range of the sea, so it never feels as if you are hemmed in by other motorhomes. The town is just a short walk away and the bridge or ferry to Valentia island is not far, either. Full marks to those who run the place, and many thanks for such a wonderful venue!! Date of stay: April 2022
  • Wonderful Mannix Point Camping – So I’m just back from a wonderful 3 night stay at the “Mannix Point Camping Site” in Cahersiveen Co.Kerry. Oh my god! Wow!! What a place to stay. First of all, the two gentlemen that run the place are so friendly and helpful in anyway they can be to you. The pitches are great, especially if your like me and want electric hookup and fresh water at your pitch. The toilets & showers are great. Spotless clean every day. Ok some people complain that they are over 20 years old, and showing there age but they are well maintained and everything works! Sure that’s all you need. There is also a campers kitchen. A 15 minute walk will bring you to the SuperValu store and fuel station. Further on will bring you into the village of Cahersiveen with many other shops. The views from around the campsite are fab. I loved listening to the sounds of the Curlew bird. We counted 18 of them on the waterfront. It’s something you don’t hear much on the east coast of Ireland now, but it brings back memories. Also spotted a sea otter, some seals and other birds like the oyster catcher and herring gulls. All in all, it’s a fabulous place. I for sure will be revisiting Mannix Point camping.
