"!Good small clean, friendly site."
Spent the weekend at The Trading Post, it about 8 kilometres from Blackwater in Co Wexford. The park is in a farming area about six kilometres from the beach. This is a small, clean friendly site with about a dozen hardstanding pitches and a small field to the side of the main camping area.
Our pitch was very level with a hardstanding and a large area with loads of room for a full size awning and as much space again for sitting around in the sun.
The shower block is tiled throughout and very clean, it has two good showers and they are free to use, only problem is that you have to push a button to use it and have to keep pushing it to continue using the shower. As these buttons are on lots of showers I guess its just me that has a dislike for them.
The Campers kitchen is very clean and with loads of free hot water, there are only two sinks but this isn't a problem for a small site. The is a fair size table and some chairs to you have loads of room to either wash up or eat you dinner in there. To the side of the Kitchen there is a small laundry with both a washing machine and a drier, a wash will cost €5 and the drier is €1 for 15mins.
The playground has some swings and a BIG Black pipe that gets loads of attention from the all the children, there is also an outdoor chess set that kept our young one very entertained.
There is a shop on site that is well stocked for all the things (that if you are like us) forget to pack.
Wexford town is only a short drive away and you are only a few mins away from Castlebridge if you are looking for a chippy.
Will we use it again, YOU BET we will, like a said it is a small site but plenty for the kids to do and because its small you get to meet some nice people and make some new friends.
Stayed April 2015.
